How does it drive?
![]() 02/11/2018 at 20:08 |

But is it debadged?
![]() 02/11/2018 at 20:08 |

Pretty good!

Its probably the best car I’ve ever driven in terms of outright capabilities. But the Canadian AWD version must be different to mine.
like... its the best non supercar i’ve driven... its up there with the Maserati Quattroporte SQ4 I drove last summer.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 20:17 |

Nope, why would you debadge it?

Probably not Mergio approved though?

I sat in one today at the local auto show. While it was nice, I can’t get over how little rear visibility there is. You can’t see anything.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 20:21 |

That’s the story of most modern cars to be honest. It has a rear view camera and 360 view cameras

I’m joking... I did remove the “Stinger” and “GT” stickers on mine...

How austere are the back seats? Daddy Doug didn’t go into enough detail for my liking.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 20:43 |

Back seat was nice. I drive a Fiesta ST and a CX-3 so anything where there is a gap between the fronts and the backs seems big to me.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 20:59 |

I’m just not feeling the interior.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 21:03 |

Really? It’s so nice! Then again, I I normally drive a Fiesta, so it doesn’t take much to impress me.
“Wow! A working touch screen! This must be what an S class is like”
![]() 02/11/2018 at 21:15 |

I’m sure the quality of great. But the layout seems like a mess. And I HATE those three round vents stolen right out of the C class.

Look at you. Two weeks in a BMW and you’re already looking down at Korean cars. Tsk, I say. Tsk!

16 days and 1100 miles. I’m wondering why it took me so long to get one.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 21:57 |

I’m itching to drive one. Just have to find the time.

I’ve been waiting for a long time for my chance. Are you thinking of replacing the K900?
![]() 02/11/2018 at 23:03 |

Oh no. Not financially ready to do that. Also, I love my car. I just want to try this baby out.

I didn’t get to spend enough time with the car, it belonged to a friend of my brother in law whom I’ve never met before. He knew I was into cars and came by to show me.
I wish I had more time with it to explore and test but, meh

Yeah it’s the vents for sure the G70 has a very similar layout but much cleaner.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 23:15 |
|
I’d 100% take the g70 over the stinger. Are they in the same price range? I have no idea to be honest

I see a twin turbo 335i in your future..
![]() 02/11/2018 at 23:25 |

No idea. According to the Genesis USA website the G70 isn’t available yet. It will also be available with a manual trans, although probably just the 2.0T
![]() 02/11/2018 at 23:25 |

If I get another newer BMW I’d like it to be a 1, or 2 series.
![]() 02/11/2018 at 23:31 |

I wonder if Canada will get the manual. We only get the AWD version up here

135is’s are getting cheaper by the day... ;)
![]() 02/11/2018 at 23:40 |

Indeed.
![]() 02/12/2018 at 00:52 |

Agreed it looks and seems cheap. Also not a fan that it’s a hatch.
![]() 02/12/2018 at 04:17 |

would a manual trans make it better?
![]() 02/12/2018 at 11:01 |
|
For sure. Rear wheel drive would be nice too. Canada only gets AWD
![]() 02/12/2018 at 12:01 |
|
360 only in canada at this point though, back up cam is standard in US
![]() 02/12/2018 at 12:01 |

Wait, you have a k900? V8 model? Details?
![]() 02/12/2018 at 12:03 |

Yep. Here is the link to her introductory post. I am planning to do an Oppo review when I have time to do it right.

Really? Huh. Thanks for the info! I hate this Canada/US division.
I could walk to America, we aren’t that different

Yep, you also get the wireless phone charger which we don’t get. I think I heard something about a different headliner?
I agree. We get 2 engines and 2 driveline types you guys get a couple extra gadgets. Weird.
I wouldn’t walk to Canada, but it would only take 45 minutes to drive there for me. In fact, I have people in my office who commute from Canada.
